Bassey Eko Ewa: The Stinking BEE of Yakurr Politics

Today, Yakurr politics cannot be discussed without looking closely at the emergence of Bassey Eko Ewa into politics.
He was a two-time member, Cross River State House of Assembly, erstwhile Speaker of the same house, and three-time member, Federal House of Representatives, cumulatively staying in power for a record 20 years. An impressive record for a young man with no sound background.
Through the years, Bassey who has been a product of mere political opportunities was first known as Usani Uguru Usani's boy. That was the time Usani held sway over Yakurr politics, At the time Usani's political sun was setting, Bassey was already in Obeten Okorn Obeten's camp, stinking his master Usani as a BEE because Obeten's sun was rising then.
It wasn’t long before this relationship went sour, the BEE again stunk its Godfather and repressed his political power to emerge the leader of Yakurr politics above Obeten who was the highest political office holder at the time.
Chief Patrick Iwara who was the most influential Civil Servant from Yakurr at the time later joined the list of Bassey's political godfathers because of his close relationship with Donald Duke.
Immediately after Donald Duke was out of office, The BEE stunk Patrick Iwara and had new masters- Elder Bolagi Anani and Liyel Imoke, both from Abi LGA.
Needless to say, Bassey has no functional relationship with Elder Anani today.
However, there is a pattern here that I find curious and at the same time disturbing. Each of the Yakurr sons that contributed to Bassey's political career ended up being stunk by BEE and rendered politically irrelevant as soon as Bassey climbs to the next rung on the ladder. Is this a coincidence? Could it be that Bassey sacrifices other prominent Yakurr sons and daughters on the altar of his political advancement? If that is true, then there is cause for alarm. If that be true, then by the time Bassey gets to where ever he has planned to get to politically, Yakurr would have been politically dead, since all prominent Yakurr politicians would have been stunk to death by the BEE.
