It was indeed a strategic motivational meeting and the first of its kind in the history of APC that Women Leaders from all zones, States, and even local government areas converged in abuja to put a finishing touch on their plans to deliver 40 million votes to Asiwaju Tinubu on the 25th of Feb 2023. The women who were highly delighted at the opportunity to meet with the Presidential Candidates wife Sen Oluremi Tinubu and the Vice Presidential Candidates wife H.E Nana Shettima to work out final strategies for the polling unit level which will involve monitoring feedback, canvassing, logistics, Door to Door campaigns amongst others.
The Wife of the Presidential Candidates Sen Oluremi Tinubu, while flaging off the Door to Door campaign at polling unit level, charged women not to hold back the Door to Door Boxes given to them but they should rather go Door to door around their various polling units to canvas for votes for APC. She asked them to distribute the boxes and wrappers to the vulnerable and the elderly women in their locations noting that women from all over the country will come together again after the hard work and victory to celebrate a new dawn of prosperity and opportunities for women! " Women vote, wait at the polling units till your votes are counted and ensure APC wins!
While also speaking, H.E Nana Shettima charged women to be patient and work harder for the party, noting that they would be very happy they did. She said their husbands will ensure affirmative action for women, empower women, and mainstream women. Let's double our efforts.
The record-breaking, very energetic, and innovative national women leader Dr Betta Edu, in her speech, thanked the wife of the presidential candidate and vice presidential candidate for their commitment to the course of women She noted that party women have started working and will definitely bring back the win. She called on all party women to close ranks with their leaders and key stakeholders at the state level to ensure victory at the polls. She told them to be committed to the door to door campaigns and polling unit canvassing, noting that winning is the only option we have. She thanked APC women for the great work done so far during this campaign, assuring them that they will not labor in vain
The Deputy National Women Leader Haj. Zanab Ibrahim, GenerL Dambazoa, Sen Grace Bent, Hon Imaan Suleiman, Hon Ginika Tor ( Chairman of planning Committee) all spoke to the women to give this their greatest push within the next one week as victory is sure! They motivated them to play key roles in this victory and send important information in a timely manner to the national for quick intervention where needed.
The women leaders, Led by Hon Betty Benson, in their response, danced for joy that they had been remembered and given their rightful place in this election. The thanked the National Women Leader for her very dynamic leadership. While praying rhe candidate of the APC presidential election and his wife for equipping the properly for the last phase of the campaign, which is the door to door polling unit canvassing for votes.
The Local Government Women Leaders who Prayed dearly for the Presidential Candidate Tinubu to win noted that this has never happened in the history of the party that 774 of them are invited to Abuja to be part of strategic planning for the elections. The thanked the Natiknal women leader for an outstanding sterling performance vowing to deliver results and win at grassroots
Progressive Young women made a presentation of all their activities to the wife of the Presidential Candidate who was obviously very grateful for all the support.

Engr. Jerome Egbe Visits NSCDC Command for Strategic Partnership on Public Utilities

  The Special Adviser to the Governor of Cross River State on Public Utilities, Engr. Dr. Jerome Egbe, KSM, today, October 8, 2025, paid a courtesy visit to the Commander of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Cross River Command, Mr. Brown Charles, in Calabar.  The visit centered on establishing a strategic partnership to protect and secure public utilities across the state from vandals and criminal elements.
