CALABAR SOUTH CLERIC TIPS ASUQUO EKPEYONG TO WIN

A Popular Cleric of the Mount Zion Episcopal Prayer Network, Bayside Calabar South, Apostle Hezekiah Effiom has prophesied the electoral victory of Mr. Asuquo Ekpeyong Jrn, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Southern Senatorial district of Cross River State.
The Cleric made the revelation during an ongoing three days programme of the ministry, where he disclosed that the young aspiring politician has the graces and is on course to fulfill purpose.
He also added that he is the only candidate running for the interest of the people, and others are only in the race for the same selfish reasons, to enrich themselves. Adding that they have spent all their lives in power and it was time for a power shift to a new generation.
He however called on the Candidate, Mr. Asuquo Ekpeyong to be prayerful and discerning as some people were planning to sabotage his mandate through the perpetuation of violence and intimidation.
This timely revelation is coming just a week to the National Assembly Elections and have continued to raise lots of interest amongst the residents of the Southern Senatorial District of the State as it was not the first time such similar revelations have been made by the Cleric.
Confirming the incident, Our live witness, Mrs Monica Edet, told newsmen that she was ecstatic when the word came, as she was not in doubt of the revelation. "He asked us to pray for Suki' say him go do us better if him win" she added.

Engr. Jerome Egbe Visits NSCDC Command for Strategic Partnership on Public Utilities

  The Special Adviser to the Governor of Cross River State on Public Utilities, Engr. Dr. Jerome Egbe, KSM, today, October 8, 2025, paid a courtesy visit to the Commander of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Cross River Command, Mr. Brown Charles, in Calabar.  The visit centered on establishing a strategic partnership to protect and secure public utilities across the state from vandals and criminal elements. UNICROSS ACTING VC EXPRESSES CONCERN OVER DAMAGE OF UNIVERSITY STUCTURES AFTER RAINSTORM IN CALABAR

  The Acting Vice Chancellor of University of Cross River State, Professor Francisca Bassey, has expressed concern over the gravity of damage of the University's structures recorded in the wake of the rainstorm which swept through Calabar city yesterday, the 7th of May, 2025.  The Acting Vice Chancellor who was represented by the Director of Administration,  Professor Tom Ojikpong, expressed this concern when she led members of the University's management team on an on-the-spot inspection of the affected buildings in Calabar campus of the University.
