Unarguably, Rt. Hon. Eteng has discharged his role first as a legislator in the House of Assembly with incomparable grit, distinction, and elan.
If what one has done in previous offices qualifies one for what he is expected to do in the future, then without a doubt, Rt. Eteng Williams has no competition in the race for the Central Senatorial District Senate seat. He is the competition itself.
Those who out of sheer greed seek to be promoted unduly to the red chambers must first give an account of their legislative scorecard in the past 20 years. As a people, we must not make the mistake of voting for a chair-warmer as Senator.
