FIDELIS DUKER CONGRATULATES GOVERNOR-ELECT PRINCE BASSEY OTU

The Group CEO of FAD MEDIA Group owners of FAD FM and FAD 360TV, Fidelis Duker has congratulated the winner of the governorship poll in Cross River State, Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu, describing his victory at the 2023 Governorship Election as divine.
Duker, a former President of the Directors Guild of Nigeria and Regional Secretary General of the FEDERATION OF PAN AFRICAN FILMMAKERS, and also a champion of the Back-to-South campaign reemphasized the essence of the enthronement of equity, justice, and fairness in the politics of the state, while maintaining the rotational zoning formula of the state which started in 1999.
In his congratulatory message to the Governor-elect, Duker reiterated that Cross Riverians chose the best candidate for the job and who the people believe has the capacity and experience to transform and lift the state to greater height
s. The message which was signed by Duker and circulated to the media on Tuesday in Calabar quotes as follows “I am excited with your success at the gubernatorial election held on Saturday, 18th March 2023 where you were overwhelmingly voted by the majority of Cross River indigenes.
"Otu's victory is a testimony that ethnic, tribal, religious or sectional divides that were introduced by a few minorities to destroy the peaceful accommodating lifestyle of the average Cross Riverian has no place in our state." Duker added.
He further emphasized that the election has finally put to an end the politics of ethnic and religious bigotry that characterized the last election.
In conclusion, he advised the Governor-Elect to be magnanimous in victory as he consolidates in building a cross river that every indigene will be proud of considering that expectations are very high amongst citizens of the state.
