Renewed Hope: Tinubu, Wife Sen. Oluremi Tinubu donates food combo packs to Muslims and Christians during Ramadan and Easter. Prays for peace, love, and unity in the country

The President-elect, Sen. Bola Tinubu and his wife, Oluremi Tinubu, on Tuesday donated over 100,000 combo packs of food items to Nigerians in Abuja and other parts of the country.
The donations were made on their behalf by the National Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Betta Edu.
At the flag-off of the donations at the National Mosque, Abuja, Edu said that the gesture was in the spirit of Easter celebration and Ramadan fast for both Christians and Muslims. She said the idea behind the donations was to show love to Nigerians as she called on everyone to pursue peace and security of lives and to pray for the country during this period. She equally enjoined Nigerians to reflect and pray for the nation’s unity, peace, love, security, prosperity, and more blessings for the country.
“The President-elect, Tinubu, and his wife Sen Oluremi Tinubu actually asked us to be here to distribute combo packs to Muslim faithfuls during this period of Ramadan which of course is a period of giving, sharing and love.
“We will also reach out to the Christians' faithfuls. Different churches within FCT, as well as churches in other states of the country, will be receiving this combo packs in the spirit of Easter celebration.
“Let us pursue peace, Nigeria belongs to all of us, and everyone has a role to play in nation’s building. We can not underestimate that role. It’s time to lay aside party politics and face good governance. It's time to put Nigeria first, support our leaders, be patriotic, and contribute your own quota to nation-building.
“Let us come together as one nation under God to ensure that we see to the development that we wish for ourselves and our children by working together to achieve the set goals and objectives, ” she said. Edu urged Nigerians to support the President-elect Sen Bola Tinubu and his deputy Sen Kashim Shettima, assuring Nigerians that she has no doubt that they would make a huge positive difference in our country. At the Wuse Zone 3 Mosque, Imaan Suleiman-Ibraham, the Director General, National Commission for Refugees in an interview said that Nigerians have worked hard in the last few months to ensure a good leader emerged as president of the country. It’s very important for us to come together now to pray in order to achieve the Nigeria of our dreams, and I believe that Tinubu’s government is going to be for everybody. “We will be distributing over 100,000 of this max combo pack in the Mosques and churches. They actually contain different food items to Christians for the Easter celebration and to Muslims during the Ramadan fast, ” she said. Responding, Salihu Bala, the Director of Muslim Community Centre, Abuja, appreciated the president-elect and his wife for this gesture, called for Allah’s blessings upon his family. The Speaker from st. James Anglican Church Asokoro, who also received the Items for his Parish, thanked the Incoming first family for reaching out to the needy in society. He prayed that God would lead them aright to govern Nigeria well. They assured the delegation that the items donated would be distributed to the most needy people among them in the Mosque and church The Imams equally Prayed for peaceful handing over, which comes May 29 and wishes Tinubu a successful tenure. They also donated some qurans to the president-elect on behalf of the mosque. Several other key women accompanied the APC National Women Leader on these missions, and distribution is presently ongoing.
