Presidential Honours Awards: C'River Youth Council, Celebrate Ebina, Shiyam Over NYSC Honours Award, Say It’s Testament Of Hardwork

The Chairman of Cross River State Youth Council of Nigeria, His youthfulness Comrade Daniel Obo have congratulated the two Cross Riverians Mr. Ebina Rademene Sixtus and Dr. Shiyam Christopher on their NYSC Presidential Honours conferred on them by the outgone President Muhammadu Buhari.
Daniel Obo yesterday in the youth house welcomed the two Cross Riverians, and said the conferment of the award on them by Buhari was a sign of appreciation for their hard work during the service year.
Daniel added that it was suitable that the nation has acknowledged the sterling attributes and the great contributions of the noteworthy and patriotic youths of Nigeria.
Chairman further explained that these two distinguished themselves in their PPA and Host Communities where they had rendered impeccable services that have touched the lives of the people of their various States in remarkable ways.
"To us, they are our ambassadors and deserved to be celebrated and we as Cross Riverians believe in celebrating those that have what to offer to change the narrative". Chairman noted.
Speaking Earlier one of the awardees Mr. Ebina Rademene Sixtus, a graduate of Human Kinetics and Health Education noted that he found out that the villagers don't have portal water, hence the reason for taking responsibility to ensure that the community has access to clean water and he drills a motorized borehole.
Also speaking Dr. Shiyam Christopher noted that his PPA was in the DSS office but learnt about the state of the dilapidated school for disabled children, he was not only sad but felt devastated that such a level of devastation could be found in a disabled school.
"I renovated the dilapidated school and also provide food items for the school through the help of the Anambra State Government through the Ministry of women and children affairs and Ministry of education". He concluded.
