Breaking: UNICROSS Alumni Appoints BOT, Advisory Council



The National Executive Council (NEC) of the University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) Alumni Association in her meeting held on 10th January 2024 approved the appointment of members into the Board of Trustees (BOT) and Advisory Council of the Association.


In a release signed by the National Public Relations Officer of the Association Dr (Mrs) Peace Egbai had Dr. Ukam I. Ngwu, Esq. as BoT Chairman and  Dr. Paultu Taiwo as Secretary. Others are: Engr. Richard Ekpenyong, Comrade Ijoh Emmanuel, Dr. Victor Ndifon, Comrade Nicholas Egere, Comrade Samuel Odey, Comrade Angela Oko, Dr. Moses Edim, Comrade Udeme Obo and Comrade Iloke Egbe as members of the BoT.


The BoT is expected to serve as the true conscience of the Association by offering advisory on policy matters and intervene or mediate in all conflicts within the Association in line with Article 16 of the Association’s Constitution, 2023.


Also announced were appointments into the Advisory Council of the Association with Comr. Charles Inah as Chairman, Comrade Chris Edadi as Vice Chairman and Dr. Godswill John was appointed Secretary to the Council. Others are: Elder Eno Eno Thompson, Dr. Stephen Takim, Pst. Clement Eno, Dr. Emmanuel Inyang, Comrade Peter Abutiang and Comrade Idongesit Archibong who  are to serve as members of the Council.


According to the release, these appointments take immediate effect with hearty Congratulations 

from the Association’s National President Dr. Inyali Peter and members of National Executive Council.

BREAKING NEWS: Youths of Ikot Ansa Nab Vandals Destroying Public Utilities, Hand Over to Authorities for Prosecution

  In a combined effort to curb the rampant vandalism of public utilities in Cross River State, the youth leader of Ikot Ansa, Prince, Victor Otu Iso JR, alongside his community, successfully apprehended criminals involved in the destruction of vital public infrastructure. The vandals were caught red-handed this morning, 13th day of September 2024, as they attempted to steal Amor cables belonging to state transformers at Ekpo Iso. Acting swiftly, the youth leader invited the Special Adviser on Public Utilities, Engr. Dr. Jerome Egbe KSM, and his counterpart on General Duties, Barr. Ekpenyong Akiba, to the scene. Engr. Egbe Commends Governor Otu for Flag-Off of Subsidized Mini Tractors Distribution

  The Special Adviser to the Governor of Cross River State on Public Utilities, Engr.
