Ahead of the forthcoming 2024 Edo gubernatorial election, Comrade Kennedy Iyere has become the first aspirant who emerged the first candidate and party flagbearer. He won the primary of the Accord Party for the 2024 Edo guber poll, conducted today, Saturday 17th February, 2024. Iyere immediately picked and confirm Bright Enabulele, as his deputy candidate and running mate. The primary was conducted fully in compliance with the rules and guidelines provided by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Accord Party was the first to conduct its primary for the 2024 guber poll, which produced Comrade Kennedy Iyere as the winner by consensus. It is on record that five other contestants voluntarily stepped down for Comrade Kennedy Iyere and consensually adopted him to become the sole contestant for the guber primary.
It is on record that the primary was thoroughly observed by three officials of INEC, two from INEC National Headquarters Abuja and one from INEC State Headquarters Benin City. Also, the guber primary was observed by security agencies and several civil society organizations (CSOs).
The 2024 Edo guber primary of Accord Party which produced Comrade Kennedy Iyere as the first Candidate for the 2024 Edo guber poll was rated to be peaceful, transparent and hit-free by INEC officials, security agents (Police, DSS and NSCDC) and CSOs who jointly observed the exercise. Comrade Iyere, during acceptance speech had announced and confirmed Bright Enabulele as his Running Mate or Deputy Candidate.
Enabulele is a US-based African entrepreneur, philanthropist, software engineer and blockchain specialist. He owns several companies and these include Oduwa Blockchain Solutions Ltd, Bright Consulting Group Inc, Brightlife Music and Brightlife Global Inc among others. He is the creator and owner of OduwaCoin, the first African cryptocurrency, the digital currency presently taking the world by storm. He is a highly accomplished US-based Nigerian who is a pacesetter in the business and social cycles.
Comrade Iyere is a name that needs no formal introduction, he is a young man of high political, social and economic influence. Iyere is well known among the ordinary and poor Nigerians who through his humanitarian and philanthropic works has brought succor, healing and restoration to many individuals, families and communities in dire need of relief intervention. Over the past decade, Iyere has helped many past and present Governors, Senators and Federal House Members to become elected, specifically under the platforms of the APC, PDP and LP. He was a key pillar, a foremost champion and one of the biggest heroes of the revolutionary pro-Obi 2023 Democratic Movement, otherwise known as "Obidient Movement".

My Running Mate or Deputy Candidate is Bright Enabulele and together we shall pull the sufficient votes required for our desired victory. We are forming a coalition of not fewer than 6 political parties who will provide the formidable political platform needed to dislodge the APC and PDP in Edo State and rescue the indigenes and other inhabitants of Edo State from the misery of hunger, deprivation, unemployment and extreme poverty. Edo State is politically and economically broken by its failed past and present political leaders.
The time to fix Edo State is now or never, hence we have adopted FIX-EDO-2024 PROJECT as our campaign theme”, Iyere said.
“Within the next few days, we shall officially launch our action plan and attach timelines for the implementation of our electioneering campaign programs and activities whose target is to drive grassroots efforts aimed towards recruiting and mobilizing One Million Voters for the actualization of our desired victory in the 2024 Edo guber poll. We have planned to publicly unveil our action plan through a world press conference scheduled to hold within the next few days. The political redemption of Nigeria will begin in Edo State and this is the reason we have chosen to run for the guber seat of Edo State. APC and PDP have done enough damage to our economy, our people, our state and our nation, the time for our political liberation is now or never”, Iyere affirmed.
