Senator Eteng Williams Joins Cross River Deputy Governor, Peter Odey As He Speaks At House of Lords in London


The Senator Representing Cross River Central Senatorial District and Chairman Senate Committee on Petroleum Resources Upstream, Senator Eteng Jonah Williams has attended an event at the House of Lords, Palace of Westminster, United Kingdom where the Cross River State Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey and other global sustainability champions were speakers at the 3rd edition of the Global Sustainability Summit and Awards.  


The two-day summit, with the theme, ‘Advancing Sustainability: A Journey Towards A Greener Future’, held from today March 28 - 29, 2024 at the House of Lords, Palace of Westminster, in the United Kingdom will serve as a platform for leading visionary experts, innovators, and change-makers in various global corporations, organisations, and government agencies to brainstorm and strategize on the necessary adoption of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.  


The Deputy Governor in his speech resonated the journey towards a greener future and made a clarion call to action that the current trajectory of resource consumption and environmental degradation is unsustainable. 


His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey also received an award of honour as one of the global individuals that are taking practical scenarios in exemplifying and fortifying their commitment to sustainability, encompassing both the realization and actualisation of short-term objectives and long-term goals.

Engr. Egbe Commends Governor Otu for Flag-Off of Subsidized Mini Tractors Distribution

  The Special Adviser to the Governor of Cross River State on Public Utilities, Engr. ​UNICROSS Announces 2026/2027 Post-UTME Screening, Introduces 19 New Programmes

​The University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) has officially announced the commencement of its First Choice Admission Screening Exercise for the 2026/2027 academic session . The university has also unveiled 19 newly approved undergraduate academic programmes across its campuses. ​According to an official notice signed by the University Registrar, Dr. (Mrs) Catherine Ndifon Osai, eligible candidates include UTME applicants who chose UNICROSS as their First Choice and scored 150 and above in the 2026 UTME.
