Today the 28th June 2024 Hon. Cyril Omini had the pleasure of officially commissioning the Hogis Cinema in Calabar, Cross River State. This new establishment aims to provide premium entertainment to both residents and visitors.

The Hogis Cinema is set to become a cornerstone of economic development in the state. Beyond its role as an entertainment venue, it promises significant economic benefits, including the creation of numerous job opportunities. The University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) has officially announced the commencement of its First Choice Admission Screening Exercise for the 2026/2027 academic session . The university has also unveiled 19 newly approved undergraduate academic programmes across its campuses.
