THE BENEFITS OF NYSC CAN NOT BE OVEREMPHASIZE _ Commander M O Ibrahim.

 



The 13 Brigade Commander of the Nigerian Army, Calabar, Commander M O Ibrahim, stated that the benefits of NYSC to the Nation can never be overemphasized owing to her immense contribution to nation building.


The Commander made this statement  in his office while playing host to the  NYSC State Coordinator Cross River State, Mrs Oyenuga Mojisola Joke, during her courtesy visit.


Commander Ibrahim maintained that the Scheme has come to stay and her  collaboration with  Nigerian Army in  instilling discipline and providing security to Corps members and the Staff in the state and the country at large.


Earlier in her speech, the NYSC Coordinator, Mrs Oyenuga Joke, applauded the the Army Commander for his collaborative effort for the success of the just concluded 2024 Batch B Stream 11 Orientation exercise.


She however, solicited for a steady cooperation and collaboration to ensure that the Corps members are well protected both in the Camp and around their Corps lodges in the state.


In a related development, the Commandant Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps, Cross River State Command, Calabar, Commandant Charles Brown, has also pledged his support to see that necessary security assistance are always being provided to the NYSC in the state.


The NSCDC Boss promised the NYSC Coordinator a more robust collaboration and effective partnership during her familiarization tour to his office.

Engr. Jerome Egbe Visits NSCDC Command for Strategic Partnership on Public Utilities

  The Special Adviser to the Governor of Cross River State on Public Utilities, Engr. Dr. Jerome Egbe, KSM, today, October 8, 2025, paid a courtesy visit to the Commander of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Cross River Command, Mr. Brown Charles, in Calabar.  The visit centered on establishing a strategic partnership to protect and secure public utilities across the state from vandals and criminal elements. UNICROSS ACTING VC EXPRESSES CONCERN OVER DAMAGE OF UNIVERSITY STUCTURES AFTER RAINSTORM IN CALABAR

  The Acting Vice Chancellor of University of Cross River State, Professor Francisca Bassey, has expressed concern over the gravity of damage of the University's structures recorded in the wake of the rainstorm which swept through Calabar city yesterday, the 7th of May, 2025.  The Acting Vice Chancellor who was represented by the Director of Administration,  Professor Tom Ojikpong, expressed this concern when she led members of the University's management team on an on-the-spot inspection of the affected buildings in Calabar campus of the University.
