Official Apology and Clarification from Detailing News Regarding Recent Publication

 


Dear Rt. Hon. Alex Egbona,


I want to sincerely apologize for any distress caused by our recent publication. The information we published was provided by Engr. Dr. Jerome Egbe KSM, and we believed it to be accurate at the time. However, I understand the importance of representing all sides fairly, and for that, I deeply regret any misunderstanding.


Before publishing, I made several efforts to reach you to hear your side of the story, but unfortunately, those attempts were unsuccessful. I also contacted Mr. Tony Igiri, who assured me he would arrange a meeting with your son to ensure a balanced report. However, while awaiting this meeting, I received a letter from your lawyer, Mr. Prince Wekekayo Eteng Ekpe Esq., which expressed concerns about the publication.


A similar letter was sent to Engr. Dr. Jerome Egbe, requesting a retraction and apology within 48 hours to avoid legal action.


Please be assured that I remain fully committed to transparency and fairness in our reporting, and I deeply regret the situation's escalation. I am open to addressing any concerns and ensuring both perspectives are properly represented.

Engr. Jerome Egbe Visits NSCDC Command for Strategic Partnership on Public Utilities

  The Special Adviser to the Governor of Cross River State on Public Utilities, Engr. Dr. Jerome Egbe, KSM, today, October 8, 2025, paid a courtesy visit to the Commander of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Cross River Command, Mr. Brown Charles, in Calabar.  The visit centered on establishing a strategic partnership to protect and secure public utilities across the state from vandals and criminal elements. UNICROSS ACTING VC EXPRESSES CONCERN OVER DAMAGE OF UNIVERSITY STUCTURES AFTER RAINSTORM IN CALABAR
