ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR ESTHER ARCHIBONG CELEBRATES HER EXCELLENCY, BISHOP DR. EYOANWAN BASSEY OTU ON PRESTIGIOUS UN AWARD

 


Associate Professor Esther Archibong, the Special Adviser to the Governor of Cross River State on National Social Investment Programme, has joined the chorus of well-wishers in celebrating Her Excellency, Bishop Dr. Eyoanwan Bassey Otu, on her remarkable recognition by the UN 1000 African Women Network in New York.

Her Excellency, who was represented by Hon. Commissioner for Social Welfare and Community Development, Archbishop Prof Margaret Ene-Ita accompanied by Assoc. Prof. Esther Archibong, Special Adviser to Governor on National Social Investment Programme were also honored with awards and absorbed into the UN African Women Network. This recognition further solidifies their position as  trailblazers in humanitarian service, social welfare, and women empowerment.

In a heartfelt congratulatory message, Associate Professor Esther Archibong hailed the First Lady as a beacon of hope, a symbol of selfless service, and an unwavering advocate for the less privileged.

"Her Excellency’s passion for humanitarian service and social justice has transformed countless lives across Cross River State and beyond. Her NGO, Humanity Without Borders, and her social group, Team Mma Adiaha, have set a gold standard for leadership in philanthropy, women empowerment, and poverty alleviation. This global recognition is well-deserved, and I am honored to have witnessed and been a part of her incredible journey," she said.

She further commended the First Lady’s tireless efforts in promoting maternal and child health, scholarships, financial empowerment, inclusive governance, and grassroots development.

The 69th UN Convention on the Status of Women and Girls also spotlighted Her Excellency’s outstanding work in agriculture and female empowerment, naming her the ‘Essence of Life’ and ‘Humanity Champion’ of Cross River State.

"Mama, you are a warrior for the oppressed, a voice for the voiceless, and a force to reckon with. Your impact will continue to resonate across generations. We are proud to stand by you as you lead this charge for a better world," Associate Professor Archibong added.

As Cross River State and Nigeria celebrate this historic achievement, one message remains clear—Bishop Dr. Eyoanwan Bassey Otu is redefining leadership and service, proving that one woman’s vision can transform millions of lives.
