Eid-el-Fitr 2026: Dr. Betta Edu Felicitates with Muslim Ummah, Calls for Unity and National Progress

I warmly felicitate with the Muslim Ummah across Nigeria and beyond on the joyous occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, marking the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.

Ramadan is a sacred period of deep reflection, sacrifice, discipline, and devotion to Almighty Allah.

It is a time that reinforces the enduring values of compassion, generosity, patience, and selflessness-virtues that are essential not only to personal growth but also to nation-building.

As Muslims celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, I urge all Nigerians to sustain the spirit of Ramadan by promoting peace, unity, and mutual respect in our communities.

At this critical time in our national journey, it is imperative that we place the national interest above all divisions, working collectively with President  Bola Ahmed Tinubu towards a more inclusive, stable, peaceful and prosperous Nigeria.

I call on all faithful that the lessons of Ramadan;love for humanity, care for the vulnerable, and commitment to justice must continue to guide our actions beyond the fasting period.

By embracing these ideals, Nigerians can contribute meaningfully to strengthening the social fabric of the nation.

I join other patriotic Nigerians in praying that Almighty God accepts the fasts, prayers, and sacrifices of the faithful, and grants our dear country lasting peace, progress, and prosperity.

I also express hope for renewed strength and unity among Nigerians as we strive for a better future.

Eid Mubarak to all Muslim faithful.

Signed:

Dr. Betta Edu
