On June 13, 2023, the 10th Senate was inaugurated with Senator Eteng Williams taking the oath to represent the good people of Cross River Central Senatorial District in the red chambers.
Today, makes it exactly three years of significant achievement, consistent representation, and a passion for development. His legislative record in these three years demonstrates both substance and vision. He has delivered tangible projects and human capacity development initiatives geared towards addressing both immediate needs and long-term development.

* Seeks the establishment of the Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria, Ikom, to strengthen agricultural research, cocoa production, and economic opportunities in Cross River State.

* Designed to strengthen anti-corruption mechanisms and improve accountability in public service.

* Currently awaiting its third reading.

In furtherance of his commitment to rural development and economic integration, Senator Eteng Williams has facilitated and initiated strategic road and bridge projects aimed at improving connectivity, easing transportation challenges, and opening up rural communities to economic opportunities.

5. Grading of Iyamoyong–Okumuruktet–Iyamitet Road, Obubra LGA – Awarded
6. Ekori Ring Road Project – Awarded through the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC)
EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMMES, GRANTS AND VOCATIONAL TRAINING
One of the defining features of Senator Eteng Williams’ representation has been his commitment to economic empowerment and human capital development.
Within the period under review, over ₦159 million has been disbursed through grants, vocational training programmes, and livelihood support initiatives targeted at youths, women, students, farmers, traders, and vulnerable groups across Cross River Central.

₦55 Million Economic Grants
* 550 beneficiaries received ₦100,000 each.
* Beneficiaries included students, market women, artisans, and small-scale farmers.
* The programme was designed to support small businesses and improve household income.
₦22 Million Agro Grants
* 180 constituents received financial support and agricultural starter packs.
* Beneficiaries were empowered to establish and expand agribusiness ventures.
* The intervention contributed to food security and rural economic growth.
₦12 Million Anti-Child Trafficking Training Support
* 120 participants benefited from sensitization and advocacy programmes on combating child trafficking.
* Training allowances were provided to participants to support community-based awareness efforts.
₦2.4 Million Poultry and Livestock Empowerment Programme
* 80 beneficiaries received:
* 50-day-old chicks
* Poultry feed
* Essential livestock production materials
* The programme created sustainable income opportunities in livestock farming.
₦50 Million Presidential Grants Facilitation
* 1,200 constituents benefited from the Federal Government’s economic support initiative.
* Each beneficiary received ₦50,000.
* The intervention provided relief to households facing economic challenges.
₦18 Million Vocational Training and Startup Support
* 600 youths and women completed various skills acquisition programmes.
* Participants received startup grants to establish businesses in:

FOREIGN SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME
As part of his commitment to providing quality education and international exposure for the youths of Cross River Central Senatorial District, Senator Eteng Williams facilitated foreign scholarships for 40 beneficiaries drawn from across the district.
The scholarship package, valued at over €40,000/year per beneficiary, provides comprehensive support covering:

* Accommodation
* Living expenses
* Academic support throughout the duration of study
This initiative has opened international educational opportunities for indigent students, enabling them to acquire world-class education and skills that will contribute to the development of Cross River State and Nigeria.
POSTGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP SUPPORT PROGRAMME
Senator Eteng Williams extended scholarship support to postgraduate students pursuing higher degrees in Nigerian universities.
Beneficiaries include 50 postgraduate students at Master’s Degree and Ph.D levels.
Each beneficiary receives scholarship support valued at over ₦2 million per academic session, covering educational expenses associated with postgraduate studies.
LAW SCHOOL SUPPORT GRANT
Understanding the financial burden associated with legal education in Nigeria, In 2024, Senator Eteng Williams established a Law School Support Grant Programme to assist law graduates from Cross River Central Senatorial District.
In three years, Over 60 beneficiaries across Law School campuses in the country received the sum of N200,000 each in the first year, N250,000 each in the second year, and N300,000 each in the third year.
EMPLOYMENT, JOB PLACEMENT AND POLITICAL APPOINTMENTS
As part of his commitment to creating opportunities for the people of Cross River Central Senatorial District, Senator Eteng Jonah Williams has facilitated employment opportunities, political appointments, and career placements for constituents across various sectors of government.
Leveraging his position as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Petroleum Upstream and his influence within government institutions, Senator Williams has assisted qualified constituents in securing placements in federal establishments, security agencies, and public service institutions.
Over 40 constituents successfully placed in jobs and appointments.
EDUCATIONAL INFRASTRUCTURE AND SCHOOL SUPPORT
Recognizing that quality education requires both access and conducive learning environments, Senator Eteng Williams has continued to invest in educational infrastructure across Cross River Central Senatorial District through the construction, renovation, and upgrading of schools.

SCHOOL RENOVATION PROJECTS
To improve learning environments and restore critical educational infrastructure, the following schools have been approved for renovation:

He has also donated instructional materials such as Notebooks, School bags, Calculators, Mathematical sets, Writing Items, and others to over 50 public schools in Cross River Central Senatorial District.
MEDICAL OUTREACH:
The first phase of Senator Eteng Williams FREE Medical Outreach recorded 10,000 beneficiaries in 6 days and 7 different locations. 235 free surgeries were recorded, and deworming of 1028 children across the six Local Government Areas in Cross River Central Senatorial District.
Similarly, Senator Eteng Williams has frequently paid unscheduled visits to major medical facilities across Cross River Central Senatorial District, where he cleared medical bills of patients in critical conditions, newborns and patients who had been treated but awaiting discharge due to lack of funds.
COMMUNITY INTERVENTIONS:
Underscoring his strong grassroots connection and his relentless pursuit of progress and better living standards of the people of Cross River Central Senatorial District, some of the interventions include;
Construction of six (6) modern toilets facility to Ikom Police Division – Completed
Donation of N10m Naira to Ekpache-Nkome community in Ikom Urban ward
Donation of N2m Naira to support ongoing palace project of His Royal Highness, Eval Ejom Edward Ejom
N100m in cash and over 10,000 plus bags of rice distributed during Yuletide celebrations to constituents.
Facilitated the distribution of relief materials to communities in Obubra and Ikom Local Government Areas.
Climate Smart Municipal Solid Maste Managewent Intervention Project, Mkpani, Yakurr LGA
Waste Recovery To Bio Gas Ongoing At Government Secondary School Ikom
AGRICULTURAL INTERVENTION:
In a bid to boost agricultural productivity and achieve food security, Senator Eteng Williams Distributed 1200 bags of NPK and Urea Fertilizers to support rural farmers across the 66 wards of the Cross River Central Senatorial District.
SPORTS DEVELOPMENT:
As a lover of sports, Distinguished Senator Eteng Williams in 2024 sponsored the Sweet Prince Otu Cup for pupils in over 40 secondary schools across the state to boast grassroots football and support the Senator Otu-led administration in sports development.
Senator Eteng Williams also sponsored the Yakurr Unity Cup in 2024 and 2025 with all the 13 council wards participating.
Given the above eagle eye view of the array of his scorecard, there is still more to be done. Many of the initiatives started are at critical stages and require continuity to be fully realized. The relationships built, the experience gained, and the voice established in the Senate must not be interrupted at this point.
