Surefoot International School Graduates Class of 2026, Celebrates 18 Years of Raising Global Leaders Through Academic Excellence

 



Surefoot International School (SIS), Calabar, has celebrated the graduation of its Class of 2026, reaffirming its unwavering commitment to academic excellence, leadership development, innovation and character formation.

Founded in 2008, Surefoot International School is an inclusive day and boarding international school built on strong Christian values, with a vision to nurture young people who are equipped to transform their communities and make meaningful contributions to Nigeria, Africa and the wider world.

For the past 18 years, the school has distinguished itself as a centre of excellence, delivering a unique blend of the British and Nigerian curricula while consistently producing exceptional academic results. 

SIS has maintained a 100 per cent success rate in both the Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), reflecting its unwavering commitment to world-class education.

The 2026 Graduation Ceremony marked another milestone in the school's history, providing an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the graduating class, honour outstanding performance and reflect on the institution's remarkable journey as a leading provider of international education in Nigeria.

Speaking during the ceremony, the Founder and President of Surefoot International School, Mrs Obioma Liyel Imoke, said the school's greatest achievement lies not only in academic success but also in nurturing young people of integrity, compassion and purpose.

She said: "At Surefoot International School, education extends far beyond the classroom. Our mission is to prepare children for a future where changing the world is not merely a dream but a responsibility they willingly embrace.

"For the past 18 years, we have remained committed to raising confident learners, ethical leaders, creative thinkers and responsible global citizens. Our graduates leave Surefoot with the academic foundation, strength of character and resilience to excel wherever life takes them.

Delivering the Charge to the Class of 2026, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, His Excellency, Senator Liyel Imoke, CON, challenged the graduating students to remain steadfast in character, pursue excellence without compromise and use their education as a catalyst for positive change.

According to him: "The education you have received at Surefoot International School has prepared you not only to succeed academically but also to lead with integrity, courage and compassion.

"The future belongs to young people who are innovative, disciplined and committed to solving problems. As you leave these halls, let your character be your greatest strength, your knowledge your instrument of change and your service your enduring legacy.

The graduation ceremony featured the Presentation and Conferment of Certificates, alongside the presentation of prestigious Board Awards recognising outstanding students for Character, Leadership and Special Honours.

The event attracted parents, alumni, education stakeholders, government officials, captains of industry and distinguished guests from within and outside Cross River State, as the school celebrated another cohort of graduates equipped to excel in higher education and become agents of positive change.

BREAKING NEWS: Youths of Ikot Ansa Nab Vandals Destroying Public Utilities, Hand Over to Authorities for Prosecution

  In a combined effort to curb the rampant vandalism of public utilities in Cross River State, the youth leader of Ikot Ansa, Prince, Victor Otu Iso JR, alongside his community, successfully apprehended criminals involved in the destruction of vital public infrastructure.
