The Cross River State Ministry of Works has successfully defended its performance and ongoing projects before the Cross River State House of Assembly during the state's Midterm Projects Review Exercise.
The Honourable Commissioner for Works, Hon. Pius Edet Ankpo, appeared before lawmakers at the Assembly Complex, where he presented the Ministry's achievements, ongoing infrastructure projects, and implementation strategies in line with the development agenda of Governor Bassey Otu's administration.
In his presentation, the Commissioner highlighted major road and infrastructure projects being executed across the state, reaffirming the Ministry's commitment to delivering durable, high-quality, and people-centred infrastructure that enhances connectivity, drives economic growth, and improves the quality of life for Cross Riverians.
The successful presentation underscored the Ministry's commitment to transparency, accountability, and prudent project implementation, demonstrating its resolve to ensure that government-funded projects are executed in accordance with approved plans and engineering standards.
The Midterm Projects Review Exercise forms part of the Cross River State House of Assembly's constitutional oversight responsibility to evaluate the performance of ministries, departments, and agencies in implementing government policies, programmes, and projects under the People First agenda of the Otu administration.
