The Cross River State Government has commenced intervention works on Hart Street in Calabar South, following an on-the-spot assessment of the area by His Excellency, Governor Bassey Edet Otu, about eight weeks ago.
The inspection was conducted after the second heavy rainfall in Calabar resulted in flooding across several communities in the metropolis. Hart Street, located in Ward 9, Calabar South, was identified among the areas requiring urgent intervention.
