Nigeria at 66: Betta Edu Congratulates Nigerians, Says Pres.Tinubu Reforms Opening Opportunities for Grassroots Women

The Director of Women Mobilisation, All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, Dr Betta Edu, has said the economic reforms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu are creating new opportunities for grassroots women, urging them to identify available programmes and take advantage of them.

Edu made this known in a statement  to mark the Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary, saying her directorate would intensify door-to-door sensitisation and community-level mobilisation to take information on government opportunities directly to women and households.

She said the occasion also provided an opportunity to acknowledge the sacrifices and vision of Nigeria’s founding fathers and heroines, whose efforts laid the foundation for the country’s sovereignty.

According to Edu, the Tinubu administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda is opening opportunities across agriculture, enterprise, energy, infrastructure, skills development, and social investment.

She said the benefits of reforms would be more meaningful when citizens at the grassroots knew what opportunities were available, the requirements for accessing them, and the institutions responsible for delivering them.

“Our founding fathers and heroines gave us the foundation on which we continue to build. Their vision demands that every generation contributes to making Nigeria stronger and more prosperous.

“President Tinubu’s reforms are creating new pathways for economic participation.

Our responsibility is to take that message to the grassroots and ensure that women know where opportunities exist, how to access them, and how to engage the relevant institutions.

“Through door-to-door sensitisation, we will continue to reach women in their communities and households with information that can help them participate in economic and community development.

More importantly, we will use our grassroots structures to campaign for the Reelection of President Bola Tinubu for a second term In office”She said.

Edu also called for national unity, peaceful coexistence, and greater commitment to building a country that reflects the aspirations of its founding generation.

She congratulated Nigerians at home and abroad as the nation marks 66 years of independence.
