Three years in the Senate have produced a record of active legislation and purposeful representation for the people of Cross River South. Within this period, Distingushed Standard Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong has sponsored 21 Bills and 8 Motions, including the all-important South-South Development Commission Bill, reflecting a commitment to issues and giving birth to a regional development commission capable of driving regional development, economic growth and improved opportunities for the people.
Beyond legislation, his representation has translated into opportunities for employment and human capital development. 60 Grade A federal jobs have been facilitated for indigenes and residents of Cross River South and wider CRS, while 63 young people have benefited from foreign postgraduate scholarship opportunities. In education, more than 3,700 undergraduate students have received the Back to School/Education Support Initiative, providing meaningful assistance to students and their families.
Healthcare has equally received significant attention, with five medical outreaches conducted and over 3,000 successful surgeries reportedly carried out. In infrastructure, Senator Suki has facilitated road interventions covering Idang, Satellite Town Annex, Nyanyesang and the Ito–Arochukwu Road, and Okomita–Uyanga–Iwuru–Ehom Road, while free bus services have provided transportation support across the nooks and crannies of Cross River South.
Youth empowerment has remained another major pillar of the three-year record. Through SME initiatives, young people have received cash support and productive assets including fridges, generators, sewing machines, grinding machines, laptops, hair dryers, barbing accessories and phones. More than 1,000 young people have also been empowered with mini-buses and tricycles, creating avenues for mobility, entrepreneurship, income generation and self-reliance.
Taken together, these interventions represent a blend of legislation, employment, education, healthcare, infrastructure, transportation and youth empowerment. They provide a measurable account of three years of representation while pointing toward a promise of continuity and greater impact. Indeed, this and many more he has done in just three years, and will do more. As the Victory 2027 journey approaches, the message remains clear: Standard Suki Return 2027 is Sacrosanct.
