BREAKING NEWS: Nurses at UCTH Embark on Strike Following Arrest and Detention of Colleagues

  Nurses at the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital (UCTH) have withdrawn their services in protest over the alleged illegal arrest and detention of three of their colleagues. The incident, which has caused serious tension within the hospital community, occurred on Monday when armed police officers stormed the facility. According to reliable sources within the hospital, the officers were reportedly invited by a relative of a patient who accused the nurses of being responsible for a missing SIM card. The Progressive Institute, NILDS Set Up Joint Committee for Capacity Building Collaboration

The Progressive Institute, TPI; Think Tank of the All Progressives Congress , APC and the  National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies, NILDS have agreed to a collaboration for an extensive capacity building projects.  The two organizations last Wednesday set up a Six Man Committee that will fashion out modalities for such partnerships.
